<div>I’d like to find multiple acres with loose zoning restrictions, beautiful environment, views and a good climate. Then get together with a large group that would contribute and take part in. I know it’s been done before. Not a commune, more like a co-op. There are many examples both good and not so good. <div>The Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna is justly celebrated is a grand design. Why are we so far behind in this country? <br/> <br/>The Hundertwasser House Vienna (German Hundertwasserhaus) is an apartment house in Vienna, Austria, designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. This landmark of Vienna is located in the 3. district, Kegelgasse 34-38 / Löwengasse 41-43, at 48°12′26″N, 16°23′39″E. <br/>The house was built between 1983 and 1986 by architect Univ.-Prof. Joseph Krawina. It features undulating floors ("an uneven floor is a melody to the feet"), a roof covered with earth and grass, and large trees growing from inside the rooms, with limbs extending from windows. Hundertwasser took no payment for the design of the house, declaring that it was worth it, to prevent something ugly from going up in its place. <br/> <br/> <br/>Within the house there are 52 apartments, four offices, 16 private terraces and three communal terraces, and a total of 250 trees and bushes. <div>I’ve been asked to design a number of outrageous living environments on a 50+ acre-wooded site along Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas: <br/>http://www.southshore.com/bsdam.htm <br/>There will be minimal restrictions. We have already constructed a private dock along the shore. It’s really a beautiful clean canvas ready to be painted. The owner is going to allow about 25 third of an acre circular building sites. The rest of the land and dock will be communal. We are talking about sharing the fun with some future thinking people.
